The well-known rapper Fat Joe was born Joseph Cartagena in 1970. He began his career in the early 1990's when his stage name was Fat Joe da Gangsta. Solo Fat Joe mixtapes have also been released. His first major one was The Crack Era in 2008. 2010 expects to see I Wanna Kill People Vol. 1 soon. This is expected to be followed-up by I Wanna Kill People Vol. 2 also. Despite his ten released albums and two on the way, Fat Joe still finds time to record and release mixtapes and sell them for nominal fees or make them available for free on mixtape download sites.

Fat Joe has definitely found his way into the spotlight with his unforgettable singles. Fat Joe mixtapes and albums are, as shown by their rank, among the most popular in the rap world today. He is just one of many artists for whom playlists and tapes have increased recognition.
